The core technology is to provide filtered air via a hood to the operator. A waist unit consists of a blower that pulls air through a high grade HEPA filter then passes it to the hood, where constant positive air pressure protects the operator from external pathogens. Air cannot flow from the surroundings directly into the hood. It is recommended to use it with proper grade masks to minimize the risks of exposure.

Overview
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a very unique environment in the healthcare sector. It has created certain needs in the delivery of healthcare. One such scenario is the protection of the doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers working on the frontlines of the Covid-19 outbreak. An important component of the personal protective equipment (PPE) is a PAPR or powered air purifying respirator.
